Boys Soccer Loss vs. Eagle Ridge 0 – 1, Dropping Them Down to 5th Place in Their League

Boys soccer drops to 5-7 and 2-4 in league with their most recent loss vs. Eagle Ridge 0-1 on Thursday October 14th.

Despite a push right before the second half, by junior striker Carlos Sandoval to get a shot at the goal but just barely blocked, the game was tied 0-0 at the end of the 1st half.  Going into the second half, the Bulldogs played great defense with multiple stops by senior goalie Rafael Hernandez . Then with 11:34 left in the second half, Eagle Ridge scores off of a free kick making it 0-1. But, unfortunately in those 11 minutes they were unable to score and ended up falling to the 5-7 Eagles.

Going into this game vs. Eagle Ridge, the players knew this was an important game in order to make a run in the playoffs.

“This game is very crucial game for us, if we win we stay 4th seed and we hope that Thornton loses, so we take the 3rd seed for our final playoff appearance” said the senior Last Defender, Geovanny Reveles.

With this 0-1 loss to Eagle Ridge they now fall down to 5th place in their league and crushing all hopes for a playoff run this season.
