Have you built a tiny house before?

Nayeli Andazola

I had the opportunity to see our geometry class doing construction on a tiny house. I wasn’t able to interview Mr.Ziegler due to the fact that he was busy helping out in the construction. I was given the chance to take pictures and interviews with the students and it was something I enjoyed doing.

I have taken interviews of two  of the students that were in that class.

What is your name? And what grade are you in? My name is Hunter Howard and I’m a 10th grader. How well do you like the project you guys are working on? It’s pretty fun. We are only able to probably only get to the frame this year, but next year the house will be fully complete. What is the hardest thing about building this? The hardest thing is probably trying to do stuff up high, because our ladders are kind of limited and there alot of people working at the same time. Are you excited? If so, why? We’re excited for this project, because it’s just a fun construction project. I can’t think of anything better to say. How did you feel when they told you that you have the opportunity to build a tiny house? I felt pretty excited because building a house was actually really fun. Just like seeing everything being put together.

What is your name? And what grade are you in? I’m Tessa Gonzalez and I’m a 10th grader. How well do you like this project? This project is fun. And I like it a lot. What is something you don’t really like about this project? I don’t really like that. It has a lot of math. What is the hardest thing about building this? precise cutting and calculation. Are you excited? If so, why? I’m excited because I can’t wait to see when the house is finished.

It was nice to see the smiles on some of the students’ faces as they were seeing their progress. They’ve been working really hard all the way from precise cutting to hammering every single nail down.
