As the basketball season comes closer to an end we want to give more of an insight on the coaches and players for a better understanding of how speacial relationships with coaches and players can actually be. The bulldogs are currently 5-11 coming off two wins against Sheridan and Bennet and are looking forward to win more with 7 games left on the season. To get a better understanding on the season and on the relationships between the players and coaches we interviewd Trevor Lucero, Brandon Sandlin, Chester Monroeto get a players point of view of the season and there relationship with the coach and interviewed coach Vernon Whittington to get his point of view of the game.
How does our coach communicate with players to minimize mistakes on the court
“Coach will communicate with one of us players of what he wants and what he expects out of us players to minimize any mistakes.”(Brandon Sandlin )
How do you reflect on the coaches and what impact can you say thy have on the team
“As the season has progressed coach Vernons words of wisdom have really brought
us closer as a team and has helped us on the court.”(Brandon Sandlin)
Being a new member of this basketball team has your relationship with the the coach made you a better player and if so how?
”Yeah it definitely made me a better player because if you listen to him what he says really translates to the court and it makes you a more coacheable player”.(Chester Monroe)
How is your relationship with coach like?
“him being my coach since i was a freshman has helped us have a better chemistry and it translates to better results when playing.”(Trevor Lucero)
Has their been a moment that coach Vernon talked to you about your game and if so how did that improve your skills and knowledge on the game?
“After a game where i scored only 2 points he talked to me after the game and gave me confidence to which the next game i scored 24 points helping us to a win.

How do you manage the team when practices are not meeting the expectations?
”As a coach i try to explain that playing this sport is really bigger then the game which i try to explain through sharing my experiences.”(Vernon whittington)
Are there any strategies that you use to communicate and help your players get a better understanding for what your trying to teach them.
”As a coach my goal is to build a relationship with the players so that their is a better understanding that we can communicate more openly to minimize mistakes.”(Vernon whittington)
