Arvada Girls Basketball Team Take Down The Bruce Randolph Grizzlies.
The Bruce Randolph (Denver, CO) varsity basketball team lost Thursday’s home non-conference game against Arvada (CO) by a score of 48-32. During the first and second halves, Arvada had put in enough points in the 1st and 2nd quarters and had a combined 30 points from the two leaders to get the team in a leading position.
Arvada had the whole team putting up points and being able to get around during the whole game. Starting with Lily Heck (So), Lily was able to put up 0 points but went for 0-5. Amiah Picaso (So), Amiah went for 7-8 and was able to go for a 38% shooting percentage. Alyssa Moreno (So), and going for 4-3 with a 67% shooting percentage. Taylor Dye (Jr), Taylor was one of the game-leading scores by going 15-16 and 5 for 15 with a shooting percentage of 31%.
Arvada had the lead during the whole game, And being able to have the lead against the Grizzlies during the first quarter Arvada had 13 points, and the Grizzlies with 8 points in the first. During the second quarter, Aravda was able to get 17 points with Grizzlies having 9 points. Third quarter Arvada with 13, and Grizzlies with 4 points. During the fourth quarter, the Grizzlies tried to make a comeback but couldn’t finish it, with 11 points and Aravda getting 5 points to finish the game.
