As the Arvada Soccer team season comes to an end they did better than last year with two more wins where last year they didn’t win a single game. The two teams that they beat were Alameda and Lake county. They had fought hard in both games.
The first win Arvada had this season was against lake county both teams were struggling to score by halftime the score was 2-2. So the battle had continued, then the bulldogs stuck and scored three goals in the second half and ended up winning their first game in 2 years. They looked forward to their rivals Alameda next week.
Arvada faced Alameda at home they had opened up the scoreboard with two goals but right after that Alameda had responded and the score was tied up 2-2 The second half had begun and Arvada made another goal. That was the last goal that was scored. Arvada had ended up winning and extended their winning streak to two games after beating Lake county.
At the end of the season the last game was Arvada’s Senior night. It was gonna be the first game under the brand new lights on the turf field. Arvada had come up short to Jefferson High School on senior night but what mattered the most was the seniors’ memories that night. They celebrated Seniors Chris Kleug, Alexander Morrillas, Jordan Jurado, Justin Soto Martinez, Jason Gomez, Demian Yanez, Luis Hernandez and Junior Martinez.
When the match ended all their families came together and gave them gifts and posters for their seniors.
As the season ended captain Jason said “ Yeah id say the team has improved since last season and they will continue doing good if they keep this up I beleive in the team.” The new captains for the next season are going to be Diego Mendez, Mario Moran, and Fidel Flores.
This wraps it up for this year’s Arvada Boys soccer team. We wish them well for next year!
