There are so many incredible artists at our school who deserve more recognition for their talented efforts. The many teachers and families who support them along the way also deserve a little love.
Alexa Torres says, “My family has helped me a lot because they are always honest with me and can tell me if my art is good or not so that I can make improvements that will help me grow.¨
A good support system is very important when it comes to being a creative person.
Eli King said, “Well my sister was always really good at art and I wanted to get better and be as good as she is and have some of the same talents as her.”
The art programs here at Arvada are lucky to have teachers like Miss Schuester and Miss Holt, Bella Rodriguez said, “Miss Holt has helped me a lot by introducing me to jewelry and welding with metal because I had no clue that would be an option of a course that I can take in high school so she’s really helped me thrive in what I love to do.” Bella Rodriguez
Miss Holt and Miss Ava always try their absolute hardest to ensure that all of their students can express their own voices through their art. Our art teachers have been working very hard to ensure that our students shine.
Miss Ava said, “I feel like encouraging self-esteem as an artist and also trying not to be so strict on the academic side of art. Instead, letting everyone work at their own pace to create what they love helps these students.”
Miss Holt said, “I have a student in one of my AP classes and she is at an incredible level of advancement and she inspires me to be a better teacher of ceramics and helps me to create better pottery to help inspire her back,”
The genuinely amazing artists in this school, who have been mentored by so many incredible teachers, these students and more have worked hard to brighten our halls and lives with their stunning pieces and creativity.
